B - Moderate Walks

Around Trecastle Walk

The walk starts and ends at the bunkhouse and is a moderate, pleasant stroll offering some stunning views and history in the form of Roman remains, a stone circle and a 15th Century church at Llywel. Refreshments are available en route at tea rooms or the local hostelries and the route will also take you past our village antiques centre.

It is an ideal walk that can be undertaken during an evening or, say, a Sunday morning before lunching at the pub and returning home in the afternoon.

The walk is a mixture of gentle rolling hills and, if you wish to visit the Roman Camp and stone circle, a short level trek across the mountain top. It can be completed in about 2 hours plus another 2 for the mountain top.

Stunning views pop up unexpectedly at various places along the way and it is a great way to work up an appetite or thirst. Enjoy.
