Cycle Trails Overview

Leave the car behind and let the wonderful scenery of the Brecon Beacons area of Wales remove the stress and strain of every day life. Cruise easily along quiet country lanes, follow traffic-free trails through beautiful wooded valleys or while away a few memorable hours enjoying the timeless tranquillity of the towpaths of Brecon & Monmouthshire Canal.

The scenery is wonderful but there's so much more to cycling in the Brecon Beacons than that; stop for a leisurely pub lunch, take the time out to enjoy the wildlife or the history of the area. So leave your car safely parked at the Bunkhouse and explore the Brecon Beacons by bike, the fun and environmentally friendly way. Then at the end of the day, relax and enjoy our welcoming Bunkhouse hospitality.

This website contains overview descriptions of Cycle Trails that are easily accessed from our brilliant Bunkhouses, accommodation designed with cyclists in mind. The Cycle Trails vary in difficulty from easy family riding along the canal to a strenuous tour of the mountains and valleys of the Black Mountains. There really is something for everybody.

Route maps and detailed directions are available at the Bunkhouse. The Cycle Trails have also been graded to assist you in choosing the right route for the day and your fitness/riding ability.
