Usk Reservoir
A forested circuit of the Usk Reservoir forms this trail. The terrain is mostly hard packed forest roads and a lengthy tarmac section. The start includes a couple of downhills leading you to the water's edge, and after the dam there is a road climb to get the legs really working and the heart pumping. There is a designated picnic area at the car park at the head of the reservoir dam and plenty of stopping points available on route, but the nearest pubs and eating establishments are back in Trecastle 6miles/10 Km away.
